Steve Bollert

As a Principal of Bollert | LeBeau, Steve is intimately involved with sourcing new property acquisitions as well as developing and implementing creative and value-enhancing repositioning strategies for the firm’s existing 1.0M+ square foot portfolio. Steve founded, operates and is the CEO of the Life Science Division (Bioscience Properties Inc. “BPI”) where he sources value add and opportunistic life science properties.

Prior to Bollert | LeBeau, Steve served as a Principal with Westcore Properties where he participated in the acquisition, renovation, and disposition of more than $1.0B of office and industrial properties.

Additionally, Steve spent sixteen years with Burnham Real Estate Services where he founded and led the firm’s biotechnology and life science group. During his tenure at Burnham, Steve completed over $2.0B of leasing and sales of life science, institutional grade office, industrial, and R&D properties, and was awarded top sales honors in each of his last twelve years.

Steve earned a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, from San Diego State University. Steve currently serves as an Advisory Board Member to the San Diego State University McMillin School of Real Estate.


Paul originally co-founded Bollert | LeBeau in 1997. As a Principal of Bollert | LeBeau, Paul is involved in every facet of new property acquisitions as well as the implementation of value-add and income enhancement strategies associated with the firm’s existing 1.0M+ square foot portfolio.

Paul’s responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer include project origination, capital sourcing and management, financial reporting, and control.

Prior to co-founding Bollert | LeBeau, Paul served as a Vice President with Chase Manhattan Bank where he was responsible for the origination and management of more than $2.5B for the acquisition, development, and construction of commercial real estate nationwide.

Paul earned a Bachelor of Arts, Economics, from the University of California, Berkeley as well as his MBA, Real Estate Finance, from the University of Southern California.

Greg Bowman
Vice President of Leasing

Greg joined Bollert | LeBeau in 2015 as Director of Leasing.

Greg manages all marketing and leasing activities throughout Bollert | LeBeau’s 1.0M+ square foot portfolio. He is responsible for negotiating and executing new leases, as well as improving upon existing leasing and renewals. Prior to joining Bollert | LeBeau, Greg spent five years with Cushman & Wakefield predecessor company, Cassidy Turley/DTZ, working with owners and tenants as an office leasing specialist in urban San Diego office markets. During that time, Greg completed over 825,000 square feet of leasing totaling more than $125M in value.

A San Diego native, Greg earned a Bachelor of Science, Finance, from Miami University of Ohio.

Carly Lake
Vice President, Acquisitions and Project Management

Carly Lake joined Bollert|LeBeau in 2017. Carly is responsible for all underwriting efforts related to new and existing projects. She oversees the design, construction, and value enhancement of company life science assets.

Previously, Carly worked as a financial analyst for London-based Grosvenor Group on the San Francisco Co-Investment Team. She was part of a two-person team responsible for all multifamily Co-Investment deals on the West Coast. Prior to that, she was an analyst at Eastdil Secured working on Investment Sales, Debt Placement and Capital Markets across all asset classes.

Carly earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics, from University of California Berkeley where she graduated with honors in the top 15 students of her department.

Tanya Vafaee
Property Manager

Tanya serves as Assistant Property Manager with Bollert | LeBeau.

Prior to Bollert | LeBeau, Tanya served as Assistant Property Manager with QualityFirst Commercial where she was responsible for vendor coordination, tenant relations, and rent collection. Tanya brings seven years of experience to Bollert | LeBeau, previously working in HOA, commercial, and residential property management.

Tanya earned a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, from Columbia Southern University.

Kristine Swarts
Assistant Property Manager

Kristine serves as Property Coordinator with Bollert | LeBeau.

Since joining Bollert | LeBeau in 2017, Kristine has been responsible for daily property operations such as assisting tenants, maintenance scheduling, and event planning. Prior to Bollert | LeBeau, Kristine worked as an intern at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center in marketing and cultural event planning.

A Pennsylvania native, Kristine earned a Bachelor of Arts, Global Studies and History, from the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and a Master of Arts, Middle Eastern Studies, from Leiden University in Leiden, the Netherlands.
